Get to Know Ken Crow and the Service Side of Property Management

Prospect Hall’s A-grade ranking has a lot to do with resident satisfaction—something that Service Technician Ken Crow knows all about. From ensuring repairs in the apartments are completed accurately and efficiently to preparing units before new residents move in, Ken manages all maintenance requests within the community.

“My responsibilities include caring for and ensuring the upkeep of the grounds and apartments, maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing, and carpentry work,” shares Ken. “A big part of being a service technician is coming prepared with the essential tools to troubleshoot problems as they arise.”

Ken joined the Rachuba team in 2010 when the company took over management of the property where he was previously employed. “I was impressed with their management style and decided to stay on with them,” Ken explains. “Rachuba empowers and trusts us to get the job done, which motivates me to find solutions to fix things correctly the first time.”

As a service technician, Ken is highly qualified to address any issue for the community’s residents. He holds credentials from the National Apartment Association with a Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT), a Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification to be able to work on HVAC systems, a Maryland Apprentice Plumber Gas Fitter certification, and a Maryland HVAC certification.

“It’s easy to maintain a professional attitude towards employees and all residents when you work for a company like Rachuba,” explains Ken. “Our team is always accountable for our actions, and we are encouraged to make suggestions as to what we need in order to get the job done in a timely manner that best benefits the resident. Rachuba is a great company to work for and I would highly encourage others to come aboard.”

When he’s not on-site at Prospect Hall Apartments, Ken enjoys riding his motorcycle, checking out classic cars, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. If he had to pick one word to live by in 2022, it would be “dream”— “I plan to dream big and live life to the fullest in everything that I do,” says Ken.
