From leasing apartments to ensuring residents’ moving experience is smooth and efficient, Kim Schafferman helps make the magic happen as Rachuba’s Resident Success Coordinator. Kim joined the Rachuba team in September 2010, and previously served as a maintenance coordinator and leasing professional. In her current role, she is responsible for the leasing process, moving residents in and out of their apartments, coordinating resident events, and handling resident renewals. “I love what I do with Rachuba,” she shares. “We’re all about family, and it’s clear that the executive team cares about their employees and residents.”
One of Kim’s favorite parts of her job is meeting people from all walks of life and having the opportunity to learn so much in the field. “It’s a really fun job where you’re always meeting new people,” she shares. “Plus, it’s so rewarding to help people find their home.”
When working with residents, Kim notes the importance of paying attention to detail, treating people with the utmost respect, and truly listening to other people’s points of view. “People come to us when they need help with their home or finding a home,” states Kim. “I listen to them to better understand their situation, and then I act. I make sure to always keep my word.”
After more than 10 years with Rachuba, Kim still loves working for the company and spending time with her coworkers. “They’re all amazing people—you can tell we have each other’s backs,” shares Kim. “Rachuba lets us be our true selves, and management is always there for us—ready to offer a helping hand. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.”
