The Face Behind Resident Success at Prospect Hall Apartments

The dedicated and passionate team at Prospect Hall Apartments works together to ensure the very best living experience for the community’s residents. In fact, Resident Success Coordinator Alison Martin’s job responsibilities are centered around assisting people with selecting their perfect home at Prospect Hall Apartments and guiding them through the entire process.

Alison’s day-to-day includes overseeing the leasing and renewal process, facilitating resident experience, and assisting with all resident moves. She helps to provide an optimal experience for everyone in the community—whether they’ve just moved in, have lived at Prospect Hall for years, or have been thinking about applying.

“One part of facilitating the resident experience includes working with other staff members to coordinate resident events—such as Photos with Santa and Friendsgiving—and doing outreach marketing for Prospect Hall,” shares Alison. “But the best part of my job is handing the keys over to a new resident and saying, ‘welcome home’ to them.”

After graduating from college and receiving her army commission as a transportation officer in 1986, Alison worked as a property manager at various property management companies until joining Rachuba in 2008. To further her property management skills, she took continuing education courses (CEC) and received her Certified Apartment Leasing Professional certification—formerly known as the NALP. “I have always preferred working with owner management companies,” says Alison. “I enjoy working with the public, and I was so happy when I got the job with Rachuba. The owners are outstanding—they listen and care for their employees and residents. Rachuba has old-school values but is still innovative and unique.”

Alison attributes her success at Rachuba and Prospect Hall to always striving to be her best and following Rachuba’s core values. “The company’s mission and core values serve as a constant reminder to change for the better,” Alison shares. “My manager always makes sure I’m giving it my all, which motivates me to strive to do better, rather than give the minimum.”

Working in property management means Alison is one of the first people to see a new resident’s face light up when they’ve found their new home. “You see their joy and relief that they’ve found their match,” states Alison. “What makes it even better is that I work with a great team that goes above and beyond to make it happen.”
