Andrew Sweeney brings a positive attitude and a true willingness to serve to every job he’s presented with at Rachuba. As an accounting assistant, Andrew supports the accountant and the director of finance and HR within Rachuba’s finance department. In his position, Andrew is responsible for entering vendor invoices, filing Certificates of Insurance for vendors, and providing general administrative support across departments through filing and data entry.
“I started at Rachuba in 2015 as a volunteer, helping wherever I was needed,” shares Andrew. “In June of 2016, I was asked to join the team as a Rachuba employee.” Whether he’s scanning checks, processing invoices, or answering phone calls, Andrew always gives 110% to everything he does. “It doesn’t matter if you’re doing administrative work or working on a financial task, you always have to do your very best,” he states.
Andrew likes to support his team members whenever possible because he believes it’s important to gain new experiences in the workplace. “I used to help Carol Wallace, who is the resident success coordinator at Piney Ridge Apartments & Townhomes, with renewal inspections and giving tours to potential residents because it allowed me to learn new skills from my other coworkers.”
When he’s not busy helping the Rachuba accountant and director of finance and HR, you can find Andrew baking cookies, playing video games, drawing, or enjoying a good board game or card game. Some of his favorites include Uno, Yahtzee, Sorry, Checkers, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.
